Dotdigital as a Source

Dotdigital combines the power of automation with the benefits of Zeotap CDP to help you deliver customer experiences driven by data. Zeotap’s integration with Dotdigital as a Source creates an all-in-one platform for growth-minded marketers. It unites customer data from every touchpoint to create a single source for all your data needs.

Today’s cross-channel customers can interact with your business anywhere, at any time and on any device. With this integration in place, Zeotap tracks three essential pillars of customer data – profile data, consent & marketing preferences and campaign data. This helps marketers to create, test and send data-driven automated campaigns.

Note: Reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you want to use Dotdigital as a Source.

How does it work?

Dotdigital is an addition under the Customer Engagement Channel Source Type offered by Zeotap and here is how it works:

  1. Onboard – Create a Dotdigital source and onboard data from the Dotdigital platform
  2. Segment – Use the user traits and attributes in Connect to create segments
  3. Activate – Activate users across channels for personalised targeting

What are the benefits?

This integration comes with the following benefits:

  • Intuitive interface of Zeotap CDP enables quick ingestion
  • Create unified user profiles by stitching profile data, web behaviour, consent and marketing preferences
  • Automated sync frequency to update data to Zeotap
  • Boost the impact of your retargeting ads by delivering the right content at the right time
  • Create relevant personalized experiences and campaigns using customer behavioral patterns and preferred content

Hashing Guidelines Enhanced with E.164 Support

What does it do?

The E.164 hashing guideline is a specification for hashing phone numbers in a privacy-preserving way. E.164 is the ITU-T standard for phone number formatting and it specifies the international format for phone numbers, which includes the country code, area code and subscriber number.

The E.164 hashing guideline recommends using a cryptographic hash function to convert phone numbers to a fixed-length string of characters that preserves the uniqueness of the phone number. The hashed phone number is used as a pseudonymous identifier that can be shared between different services without revealing the user’s actual phone number.

E.164 format → [+][country code][subscriber number including area code]
Here is how a subscriber from the UK (Country Code: 44) with the phone number 7912355648 is represented in the E.164 format, +447912345678

What are the benefits?

  • Standardisation: Using E.164 for hashing phone numbers provides a standardised format that can be recognised and processed by different systems and applications worldwide.
  • Uniqueness: It is highly unlikely for two phone numbers to have the same E.164 representation. This ensures that the hashed phone numbers are unique and can be used as identifiers without the risk of collision.
  • Privacy: The hashed phone number can be used as a pseudonymous identifier that can be shared between different services without revealing the user’s actual phone number, thus protecting the user’s privacy.
  • Security: Cryptographic hash functions used for E.164 hashing are designed to be one-way and non-reversible. This helps to protect user data from unauthorised access and data breaches.
  • Efficiency: The fixed-length representation of phone numbers makes it more efficient to store and process than the original phone number. This improves the performance of data storage and processing systems.

iOS SDK Implementation Enhanced with Automation

What does it do?

We have enhanced the implementation steps of the iOS SDK to automate the process of managing the dependencies by uploading our SDK in the Swift Package Manager and Cocoa Pods. By uploading our SDK into one of these package managers, you can easily add, remove and update the dependencies of the ZeotapCollect iOS SDK and ensure that the dependency is up-to-date.

How it works?

As per your convenience, you can use the Swift Package Manager or the Cocoa Pods and here is how it works:

  1. You can either choose the latest version of the ZeotapCollect iOS SDK in the Swift Package Manager. Or, write the ZeotapCollect SDK dependency with the latest version in the pod file for Cocoa Pods.
  2. The Swift Package Manager or the Cocoa Pods downloads the ZeotapCollect dependencies and resolves them.
  3. Once the dependency is resolved, you can import the ZeotapCollect SDK and use it in your project.
